Nhulunbuy Library 40-year Celebration

24 April 2026

On Tuesday 23 April 2026 we held the 40-year celebration of the Nhulunbuy Library.

We started the celebration with a range of activities for students from Dhupuma Barker School, Families as First Teachers (FaFT) and our local community. Later, we were pleased to welcome our East Arnhem Regional Council Elected Members to continue the celebration.

The Library has a special East Arnhem Collection, showcasing East Arnhem Land's history, with many rare and one-of-a-kind books.  The Nhulunbuy Library also provides support and connection to our Community Libraries in Milingimbi, Ramingining, Galiwin'ku and Gapuwiyak.

Thank you to everyone who joined!
