Deepest Condolences
With great sorrow, East Arnhem Regional Council marks the passing of Mr B Marika AM.
East Arnhem Regional Council President, Lapulung Dhamarrandji has stated,
“We, as East Arnhem Regional Council, would like to acknowledge and pass on our deepest condolences and our sincere wishes towards our respected Senior Rirratjiŋu yolŋu cultural leader, as a well-known figure of the Rirratjiŋu Aboriginal Corporation from the community of Yirrkala in North East Arnhem Land.
We pay our respect towards the passing of the late Ŋaritjpal B.Marika AM as a highly respected yolŋu ceremonial leader as well an East Arnhem Gumurr Miwatj region spokesperson.
In this moment, of the passing of my beloved brother from the Rirratjiŋu clan nations, we wish for him to rest in peace in Gods heavenly paradise.”
