Council Committees

The East Arnhem Regional Council ensures control and guidance over its committees. These committees have been set up by the Council to carry out important executive and advisory tasks on its behalf.

The council appoints members to these committees, and it is important to note that membership is not limited to Elected Members. This allows for a diverse range of individuals to contribute their expertise and perspectives.

While face-to-face meetings are preferred whenever feasible, the vast remoteness and distances between communities make it more practical to conduct committee meetings through teleconferences. This approach helps mitigate costs and ensures efficient communication despite the geographical challenges.
