26 September 2025

As the Aboriginal Controlled Local Government Council for the East Arnhem region, our Council prides itself on providing and delivering excellent djäma (work) and career opportunities in the six remote Yolŋu communities and Nhulunbuy with strong connections to homelands.

Since 2008, East Arnhem Regional Council has been providing entry level djäma and career opportunities across a range of Council and Community Services. Today, East Arnhem Regional Council provides career progression across a range of services including Aged Care & Disability Services, Community Night Patrol, Council Offices, Post Offices, Child Care, Libraries, Municipal Services, and Active Communities & Youth Services. Our Council offers a wide range of training and development opportunities ranging from First Aid Certificate, Medium Rigid Licence, Skid Steer Training, Fire Warden Training, Chainsaw Licence, Vocational Education and Training (VET), and much more.

East Arnhem Regional Council is proud to support our employees with additional training opportunities that provide new skills and career progression across the region and our Darwin Support Office. The training received, ensures employees are appropriately trained and qualified to deal with situations that arise in their roles and enables further career progression.
