AFLX Under 15 Boys Regional Championship

22 January 2025

East Arnhem Regional Council’s AFLX Under 15 Boys Regional Championship was held on Tuesday 17 December 2024.

Six teams representing Gapuwiyak, Galiwin’ku, Milingimbi, Ramingining, Yirrkala and Gunyangara, competed on a hot and humid wet season day at Gunyangara Oval.

Approximately 45 players and 12 staff took part in the event that also welcomed spectators from across the Gove peninsula.

Regional events are significant undertakings and require the support of many people and stakeholders. This event would not have been possible without the tireless support of Matt and Dale from AFLNT. We are grateful for the support from Miwatj Health for assisting with a BBQ, umpiring and overall help on the day. As they say, many hands make light work. A huge thank you must also be extended to Paul Taylor, YSR Coordinator Yirrkala/Gunyangara, for his significant efforts preparing the venue and equipment and generally going above and beyond to ensure the success of the event.

We are looking forward to delivering under-15 boys and girls AFLX events again in 2025!
