About the role

The Strategic Coordinator – Community Services plays a pivotal role in providing high-level strategic support, advice, and coordination to ensure the effective governance, quality assurance, risk management, and service delivery within the Community Services Directorate. This role is integral to upholding and enhancing service management standards and processes across all facets of the Directorate’s operations, including Child Care services, Youth, Sport and Recreation services, Aged Care services, Disability services, Library services, and the Community Grants Program.


Reporting directly to the Director – Community Services, the Strategic Coordinator – Community Services will deliver strategic and operational leadership, fostering collaboration and innovation across the Directorate to achieve Council’s objectives.


Housing is not available with this position. Access to housing in the Nhulunbuy region is a must for the successful candidate. Relocation Assistance will be offered.
